Peru’s investigation authorities initiated anti-dumping investigations on my clothing and accessories

On June 20, Peru’s National Competition and Intellectual Property Protection Agency (INDECOPI) passed a resolution to initiate anti-dumping investigations on apparel and accessories from China. After a preliminary analysis by the Bureau, I determined that my products such as secret export clothing and accessories have caused signs of damage to the Peruvian textile industry. Therefore, I decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on the above products and inform relevant stakeholders to participate in the investigation. Since the resolution was submitted within 6 months from the date of publication of the Peruvian People's Daily, relevant parties could submit relevant defense materials to the Bureau, and the maximum submission time would not exceed 9 months. According to the relevant laws and regulations of the Peruvian government, if no domestic company has filed an anti-dumping investigation application, if the anti-dumping investigation agency believes that the domestic industry has been damaged by the dumping of a foreign product, it may also initiate a corresponding anti-dumping investigation. This is the second anti-dumping investigation initiated by the Peruvian side since the entry into force of the China- Peru Free Trade Agreement in March 2010.
